Introducing New Members
Real Tennis is the oldest racket sport in the world and for those living near Hatfield it is available right on your doorstep. If you are interested in learning more about the game or giving it a try, why not call Jon Dawes or Ben Matthews on 01707 273391 and see about booking that first lesson. We are currently offering an introductory lesson for £20 (£15 for under 25's) to anyone who would like to give the game a try, so why not give us a call and try something new. There are also special offers available for potential new members.
The Club currently has vacancies for both individual and corporate members. There are several different categories of membership available for individuals, ranging from Full (for different age groups), Student, Junior to Associate or Social. While for Corporate bodies the Directors will be pleased to consider bespoke arrangements.
Membership Offers
New members are always welcome to come and watch a game and to talk to the Professionals and members about joining or taking up the sport. Please come and take a look for yourselves. It really does need to be seen to be believed
3 lessons for £60
This is a special offer for new members at Hatfield. It includes guest fees and racket hire, and gives prospective members a real opportunity to get to know the game before making any commitment. The course is sufficient to prepare newcomers for games with other Club members and lessons can be taken individially at £20 each, you do not have to sign up for all 3 straight away. Price to Under 25's is £45 for 3 lessons.
Introductory Evenings
The Club runs regular Introductory evenings for potential new members as well as arranging individual sessions.
Free Trial
Members who play with a guest who is a prospective member, can have the court completely free for the first visit.
Joining Fee Waived
The Joining Fee, which is normally equal to the Annual Subscription, is waived for new members joining before end 2012.
Cheap Rackets
The professionals have reconditioned a number of discarded rackets, which are available for purchase at nominal cost in order to reduce the start up costs for new members.
Introducing New Members
The Club needs new members in order for it to continue to thrive, and it is always keen to welcome new players. The Board has reached the conclusion that one of the best ways to encourage new members is through personal recommendation and by existing members passing on their enthusiasm for the game.
In order to encourage members to do this, the Board has decided to make the following offers:
- Any member who brings along a guest with a view to them joining the Club, gets the court free and the guest does not have to pay a visitors fee for the first hit.
- If you have any old rackets which could be made serviceable? The Club will pay you up to £15, depending on condition, for rackets which could be sold on to new players at a nominal cost to help get them started.
